The incident occurred around Rumuekpe, in Elele-ndele axis in Emohua LGA. It was later gathered that the attack was carried out by a notorious gang responsible for most of the attacks within east roads of the country.
According to reports, the suspected kidnappers allowed only one woman to go because of her bad leg,killed two passengers when they opened fire on the running bus and killed the driver when they stop, an eyewitness reported this to the police, but not yet confirmed
