Last night in Abuja INEC chairman Yakubu Mahmood spoke with international observers and gave the reason why the election had to be postponed.
According to him, it was a painful decision but it was necessary as some issues had to be dealt with, first he talked about the delivery of materials to some state had not reached there because they had to use bus instead of flying them there.
Also he said there were attempted sabotage on the sensitive materials for the election, pointing to the incident that happened in Anambra and Plateau where most damages were done, he went on to talk about how some politicians had get their hands on ballot papers and Voted in their favour.
We also had some court case on whether to drop some candidates or not, we could have moved it to Monday been today but our IT centre told us they will be needing 5-6 days to reconfigure all the Card Readers in the country, he added.
