According to Air Commordore Ibikunle Daramola , director of public relations and information of the Nigerian Air force, the operation was conducted on the heels of intelligence reports indicating the presence of ISWAP fighters along with some vehicle and logistics support items that were well camouflaged under the dense vegetation within the settlements.
Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance confirmed that a jet was dispatched to attack the terrorist hideout in successive attack resulting in the damage of several structure and one vehicle.
