An illorin high court presided over by Justice Adenike Akinpelu , yesterday sentenced a notorious armed robber, Olatunji Ibrahim Ariyo and few of his members to death by hanging.
Ariyo notorious for nefarious activities in the state capital alongside his fellows ; Ganiyu sulyman Yaro, Timothy Oyebanji, Lukman Olateju and Akeem Olayinka.
According to Justice Akinpelu, the convicts were tried on six-count charges of criminal conspiracy.
The court held that on April 25 2015, that the convicts committed the said offences at Agbarere, illorin.
Each of the convicts is sentenced to Two years imprisonment and fine of #25,000 for causing mischief by fire.
They are also sentenced to death according to the Robbery and Firearms Act.
