During yesterday election at Elesu , Lagelu LGA , political thugs attacked the collation centre and Sugar sustained a bullet wound.
He was rushed to university college Hospital ibadan but died after the doctors failed to resuscitate him.
Sugar represented Lagelu /Akinyele federal constituency at the house of representatives. He had contested for the senatorial seat of too central senatorial district two weeks ago, but lost to Teslim Folarin of the APC.
