Lassa fever outbreak has reportedly killed 50 people in ondo state, leaving the state's residents in panic.
According to federal medical centre,FMC, the state government is struggling to curb the spread of the disease. A medical practitioner revealed that the solution is almost beyond control adding that they have run out of space at the isolation ward.
The centre has also revealed that one patient disappeared mysteriously from the isolation ward.
When speaking with the state commissioner of health ,Dr. Wahab , insisted on the fact that it would take the combined efforts of stakeholders to fight the disease as the state alone can't handle it, saying one patient cost about N1.2M to treat.

" What we are currently facing, is almost impossible to imagine. Almost all patients in the isolation area are those that have contracted Lassa fever and most of the reported cases are from the border communities within Ose LGA of the state.
It is quite sad that the government is ignoring what could be easily resolve with simple prevention
