An apprentice tailor in Lagos has committed suicide barely three months after boyfriend took his own life.
Adenike Fatai who reportedly took sniper early Thursday night, was a 25 years old woman that lived with her mother in Shibiri area if Lagos.
Punch reported that Fatai was fighting depression since the death of her boyfriend who she was living with in Orile.
Further investigation findings reports that the family and friends of the late Boyfriend believed that Fatai murder him and that the photographer did not commit suicide, this accusations heightened the trauma Fatai was going through.
Although Fatai didn't leave a suicide note her Facebook page revealed she was struggling with depression.
On June 30, she bemoaned her late boyfriend who died two weeks earlier.
She wrote on her Facebook page " How would you do this! Why! Adebayo Olaleye Atanda Peter: still can't believe this is happening to me, I cant even say goodbye to you Ifemi, ayomi May Almighty Allah forgive all your sins. Rest on!.
She also wrote how she missed the love of her and how she is full of pains because she couldn't say goodbye to him and that she is angry with herself.
Speaking with City Round during the week, the deceased's mother, Tawa, said she met her dead after she returned from mosque, earlier that night she had come to the mosque to take the key to their apartment and her mother requested that she check the shop before she goes home.
Her mother also said there were on going plans to do her introduction in a few days time.
One day Fatai called her mum crying that her boyfriend took sniper and had died at the hospital bed, she told her mother that she was going to join Bayo but her mum cautioned her.
A friend of Bayo later called Fatai a murderer, insisting that she had killed his friend..
Her mother regretted not breaking the Sim card as accusing messages were be sent to Fatai blaming and accusing her of Bayo's death.
The case was reported to Ojo police station.
